Meet Your Friendly Neighborhood Healer

Updated: Feb 28

An Asian woman with dyed blonde hair sitting in front a wall of pink and white flowers. She's wearing a floral cardigan and black shirt.

Alya was born under a rainy Wolf Moon in Texas. You could hear her mother screaming from her hospital bed to her father down the hall, "follow them! follow the nurses!" Her terrified pleas echoed her worry that they could lose the child she spent so much time creating. By the time Alya was three, one sister was born. Then by six, another.

Growing up, her life was a never-ending hallway of airplane food and rolling luggage as her family travelled the world on the whim of the military. After several complex traumatic events that took place throughout childhood, Alya found herself leaping into the world of spiritual healing.

Her interests began with a simple alphabet. Learning the runic characters allowed Alya to journal freely for the first time in her life. In a world where no one could understand a single word she wrote, she finally felt seen. Soon after, her studies spiraled. Alya's research expanded into the benefits of crystals through history, both metaphorically and medically. From there, she devoured everything she could find on herbal healing and chakra realignment. She yearned to find relief from the anxiety, depression, and pain stockpiled in her bones through the years. By the time she graduated college in 2015, Alya had become a leader at the local shelter in her town, and she was the founder of the Emerging Leaders of Healthcare chapter at her university.

After finishing her degree, Alya worked in the private sector until the pandemic when she was furloughed from her corporate company. During this time, Alya turned back to her studies in spiritual healing not only for herself, but for the friends and family suffering alongside her during the global catastrophe. She eagerly registered for classes and completed training for all three mastery levels certifications in Usui Reiki, allowing her to provide intentional guided Reiki healing and educate others to use this practice as well.

Since her introduction to Reiki healing in 2020, Alya has provided Reiki at events such as the World Oddities Expo and Moonlight Markets. She has also developed her skills in cleansing and banishment rituals in serve severe cases of energy buildup and blockage. Alya began accepting one-on-one Reiki healing appointments in 2024 after carefully honing her craft to ensure every person is individually guided and aligned to their holistic center.
